Our Story
For more than 20 years, The Leader’s Board has cultivated trusted, invitation-only networks for executives across healthcare. Every Board is guided by experienced facilitators who ensure discussions are high-value, intentional, and member-driven.
We believe peer learning is one of the most powerful accelerators of leadership performance — and our members agree.
The Leader’s Board began in 2001, when founder William (Bill) Bodnar envisioned a place where senior healthcare executives could come together, share knowledge openly, and learn from one another without outside influence. What started as a small, trusted circle has grown into a nationally respected network built on candor, connection, and community.
In 2020, Bill’s daughter, Christine (Chris) Burton, took the helm. As President, she brings both deep appreciation for her father’s legacy and a forward-looking energy that continues to strengthen the mission of The Leader’s Board. Christine is committed to providing exceptional leadership, ensuring that every group remains a space where executives can speak candidly, build meaningful relationships, and gain practical insights they can bring back to their organizations.
Today, The Leader’s Board is thriving—guided by a legacy of thoughtful leadership and shaped by Christine’s passion for serving healthcare leaders with integrity, excellence, and care.
